2 days 15–20 papers Keynote: Christopher B. Barrett A discussant for every paper
The sixteenth Dutch Development Economics Network Workshop is a joint international conference with the second conference of the European Development Economics Group (EDEG), hosted by Wageningen University on 22–23 April 2027. With keynote addresses, plenary sessions and contributed papers in parallel sessions, it showcases the latest research in development economics and offers a forum for exchange among academics and practitioners.
The conference brings together a small, curated group of researchers for an intensive exchange of ideas. Because of its workshop-style format, acceptance will be highly selective: 15–20 papers will be selected for the final programme. Submissions from early-career researchers are encouraged.
Call for papers
Interested contributors can submit their papers by 22 December 2026, 23:59 CET through the online submission form; only full research papers are considered. Authors will be notified of acceptance by the end of January 2027. Each presenter will be assigned a discussant, who reads the paper beforehand and gives structured feedback.
